What is Cause Camp?

Cause Camp is a national nonprofit conference presented by Nonprofit Hub, a 501c3 dedicated to developing content, events, and experiences that empower nonprofits to achieve excellence. Cause Camp is a conference created by a nonprofit for nonprofits and celebrates its 22nd year in 2023 with a legacy of being recognized by Forbes as a must-attend for nonprofit professionals. 

Who attends Cause Camp?

Cause Camp is a unique collection of industry leaders, creative thinkers, makers, dreamers, and doers. Attendees include Executive Directors, Directors of Development, Directors of Marketing, Development Officers, Communications Professionals, Marketing Coordinators, Volunteers, Board Members, and Nonprofit Consultants. If you wish to be aligned with social impact and good work, Cause Camp is for you.

When is Cause Camp?

Cause Camp will be held on September 14-15, 2023 with an optional evening reception on September 13th. 

The official Cause Camp Watch Party will be held on October 19-20, 2023. 

Where is Cause Camp?

Cause Camp is an in-person and online nonprofit conference taking place in Huron, Ohio at Sawmill Creek Resort.

The official event platform, Whova, makes it possible for virtual attendees to experience the Cause Camp Watch Party online wherever it’s most convenient for them.

Why should I attend Cause Camp?

We do things a little differently at Cause Camp. Instead of lecturing you for hours on end, we aim to inspire and educate, sending you back to your organization with a full list of action items to start making a difference upon arrival. Buckle up, the nonprofit rollercoaster departs in September 2023 and will keep your momentum going all year long.

What topics will be covered at Cause Camp 2023?

Cause Camp 2023 will feature over 15 nonprofit thought leaders and influencers on the mainstage, four workshops, and three inspire series speakers. Topics will include Marketing, Board Relations, Fundraising, Donor Retention and Tactics, Leadership, Team Building and Staffing, Volunteer Management, and Organizational Culture.

Why should I attend in person specifically? 

The in-person event will give you the opportunity to network with professionals, receive special swag items, enjoy pre and post-conference events, and more! Sawmill Creek Resort boasts a world-class golf course, indoor and outdoor pool complex, marina on the shores of Lake Erie, and 200 acres of lush woodlands in Sheldon Marsh Nature Preserve. Did we mention it’s less than 10 minutes away from Cedar Point, one of the world’s most renowned amusement parks?

Plus, attending Cause Camp in person allows you to step away from the computer screen and be fully engaged without distractions.

How can I attend the Watch Party?

Cause Camp Watch Party tickets will go on sale in July 2023. All in-person ticket holders will get access to the official watch party. You’ll have the opportunity to refresh your knowledge on your favorite sessions and ask the presenters your most pressing or unanswered questions. 

Are scholarships available for Cause Camp?

A limited number of full and partial scholarships for Cause Camp may become available. We cannot guarantee scholarship availability. Complete this form if you would like to apply for a potential scholarship. We highly recommend registering for the conference in advance, Nonprofit Hub can refund the cost of your pass if a scholarship becomes available for you. No refunds will be given for any other circumstance.

Cleveland Hopkins International Airport is the recommended airport and is located approzimately 45 minutes from Sawmill Creek Resort and Convention Center.

How can I stay up to date on all things Cause Camp before and during the conference?

Register for Cause Camp and stay connected with event organizers and other attendees before, during, and after the conference. Whova, the official event platform, is available to use in your browser and as a mobile app. You can also subscribe to Nonprofit Hub’s newsletter for more information leading up to the event.

What is the refund policy?

  • In-Person Tickets: In-Person Cause Camp tickets are non-refundable. Due to processing and event fees that are incurred for each attendee, we cannot refund a ticket once it is purchased. If you are unable to attend the event when it is held, we encourage you to find another person on your team to attend or gift your registration to another organization of your choice. Note that all attendees, both virtual and in-person, will still be able to access the post-event recordings at your convenience.
  • Virtual Watch Party Tickets: Virtual Cause Camp tickets are non-refundable. Due to processing and event fees that are incurred for each attendee, we cannot refund a ticket once it is purchased. If you are unable to attend the event on October 19-20, 2023, you will be able to watch the sessions on-demand. 

Will there be any COVID-related safety procedures in place during Cause Camp?

Attendee safety is a top priority! At this time, there are no safety or occupancy restrictions in place. Event organizers will diligently follow both federal and state guidelines for any changes that may impact in-person gatherings and the safety of those involved.
